Something that I’ve long wondered about is that there are a lot of big transfer points at W4th, 14th, and Times Sq, but as the lines start to diverge, transferring east-west across Manhattan gets harder. So why isn’t there a crosstown 34 St train that could extend into the underserved parts of Queens, or, at the very least, why isn’t there a 34th St shuttle between Park Ave to Hudson Yards that does what the L does along 14th? Wasn’t thinking very much of about where in Queens it might be useful to go, but this theoretical path intersects with the majority of lines. submitted by /u/GrandRare1634 to r/nycrail |
