NJ has a really toxic history with all the manufacturing. I’m trying to find a safe place to live but it seems like no matter what I do there was some kind of toxic waste incident.
I looked at a place in Edgewater but it turns out it’s near a superfund site and Veteran’s Park is filled with PCBs apparently? Just saw in another thread that Pompton Lakes had a huge chemical spill. Tried looking at a place near Wyckoff and apparently there was once toxic waste buried under a parking lot near there. Spoke with a friend in Boonton who said the Walmart there was built on top of a former toxic waste site (though I can’t find anything about this online).
I am really health-conscious so this is giving me massive anxiety. What other places in North NJ are toxic but no one seems to know about it?
