Thinking about moving to Jersey.

Hey everyone, my husband and I are thinking of moving to NJ, and I wanted some advice on areas to live in near Bloomfield. My aunt lives there and I absolutely love her neighborhood, but I am open to living anywhere in this yellow circle, maybe even a bit more North outside of the circle.

We currently live in Syracuse, NY but feel we’ve outgrown it and tbh, the snow is getting very old. We are looking for an apartment at this time, preferably one that is a development with a dog park, as we have a 60 lb. Lab mix. We also have a combined income of around $100k and I know this general area is a lot more expensive rent wise, so we were looking at the $2.3-.2.7k per month range but idk if that’s too much or not? Anyway, any recommendations for areas and then neighborhoods in that area would be greatly appreciated!
