Today I find myself steaming out a graduation gown for a teen, who is “movin’ on up” in the world. (No, it’s not The Jeffersons.) The steaming not being an extraordinary event, until I had to steam out the orange neck sash, and some lighting-bolt correlation took me back to the days of Wild Palms (1993 tv series). The sash presented itself as what I see, what many of us see, as the unquestionable, unimpeachable “importance & authority of the system”… the Matrix that we all adhere to, slave to, fight to protect. That orange sash; both empowerment & enslavement, existing in 1 small piece of fabric. In this moment, my memory flashed back to a young Wild Palms’ Coty Wyckoff (Ben Savage), as he looms as a child-god among religious adherents, donned in similar garb. And this is what the entire system does to people, from a young age. It teaches us blind adherence, and simultaneous sense of self-righteous power. We are all such bad-asses, yet somehow still have to cling to all this finance madness that we have had flashed on the tv, since we were all young. The “Billionaire’s Grift”; Thank you ape, who coined that. I use that term now regularly, along with my own “PARASITE CLASS”. It’s truly disgusting, the juxtaposition that is snuck in to our daily lives. This young girl is hell bound for college, already putting herself into debt with new credit cards, clothing, supplies, etc… She has a small investment account, and has been steered right away into the “safety” of the blue chips. She cares not, to investigate further. She has zero thoughts about the recent bank collapses, the decentralization fights, vote gerrymandering, false left-vs-right paradigms, wars, poverty… basic skillsets like cooking, etc… But she is most definitely ready to go party party party, hit the beach, rack up tons of debt, and live in the moment. The selfies flow endlessly, in attempts for vanity metrics with both friends & stranger alike. TikT0k is the prime addiction, another false god to raise hands to, worship, & seek validation, and I am truly terrified about it’s addictive powers, and poor ROI/utility. No one is teaching her about her deepening devotion to the game of enslavement that we have all just spent 3 years (or 15 or more years, if you were lucky enough to learn about the true nature and owners of The Federal Reserve) to try and pull the curtain back on. I DO TRY to explain to her, but get muffled out by the incredible ignorance, and path-of-least-resistance mentality, of others around. —– Some people in my social groups call me the meanie, the unnecessary “tough-love”, but the best care I think any of you can give to your kids, or any younger generation out there, is to reveal to them The Finance Matrix, as soon as possible; and in whatever size chunks are digestible enough. Teach them accounting, purchasing power, balancing a checkbook, money vs. currency, fractional reserve banking, the real reason why most wars are fought, etc… Don’t let them become part of George Carlin’s American Dream. submitted by /u/Chrisanova_NY to r/Superstonk |
