[room share] Aug 1 – Private room in Bushwick – $900

Hi there! I’m subletting a room + shared bath in my Bushwick 3/2. I’ve lived here with my current roommate for a couple years, and we’re looking for a 3rd person for an Aug 1 move-in (6mo sublease w/ option to renew).

Your roommates: 30s, Texans, not a couple. Me (f) – reformed goth, office worker. Him – chef, late hours. Friendly introverts. NYC is loud, crowded, and stressful, so we prioritize everyone having the opportunity for a little alone time. Down to share a drink or horror movie sometimes. We don’t bring the party home or host frequent out-of-towners (we’re old).

You: Not a homebody. Established in NYC with a regular work schedule. You appreciate a calm, quiet place to come home to. A fellow creative but boring semi-weirdo would fit right in. Someone with bartender/very late or tattooer/similar hours would enjoy alone time every week. VPR fans and cinephiles encouraged to apply 😉

No: WFH or couples (nothing personal). Not an ideal space for a pet (limited ventilation + furniture that cannot withstand claws). Potentially willing to make an exception for the right human + animal pair.

The room: Unfurnished. Fits a full (could fit a queen but it’d be tight). Closet, west-facing window, and 2 nooks for an armchair + a dresser or whatever your heart desires. Not huge (115 sq ft).

The house: 1st floor of a duplex. Living room & kitchen don’t see a ton of action. Common areas are already furnished. Not the best setup for cooking 3x/day. No TV (we use a projector). You’ll share a bathroom with one female roommate. More house pics

The area: Residential. We’re not in the thick of it, but everything is easy to get to. Bodega, wine store, and laundromat are around the corner. 10m to Myrtle Wyckoff L, M. 16m to Halsey J. 3m to B60. Also walkable:

• TV Eye, Trans Pecos/Nhà Mình, Bonus Room (12m), Old Stanley’s (14m)
• Topo’s, Deep Cuts, Other People’s Clothes (18min)

The fine print: Monthly bills are 1/3 of internet + utils (average $55/mo per person). Move-in is 1st month’s rent + deposit (1-month rent).
