Hi everyone. First time poster. I’m looking for a roommate for a private room in a rent-stabilized duplex apartment in Ridgewood. Rent: $1,600/month Utilities: Everything included except electricity (split evenly, I’ll send the bill each month) Start date: March 1 (flexible) Term: Fixed sublet or option to join the rent-stabilized lease long-term Location: 2 min walk to Forest Ave (M) 10 min walk to Myrtle–Wyckoff (L/M) The Apartment (Two Floors): • In-unit washer/dryer • Dishwasher • Indoor + outdoor clothing lines • Fully stocked, decent-sized kitchen with cozy dining nook • Standard bathroom (filtered shower + great water pressure) • Large lower level that functions as an additional living space + storage — tons of room and potential to shape it into a coworking or creative zone. I’m open to ideas! • Private backyard just for us — vegetable patch, fire pit, and a pool that’s currently down for winter but will reopen when the weather warms up Pros: • Rent-stabilized • Great for small hangouts • Lots of good bars, restaurants, and coffee shops nearby • Relaxed neighborhood vibe Important: I have a very sweet dog, and I very occasionally dog-sit. She’s great with people and other dogs, but this is not a good fit for someone who doesn’t like dogs. I’m open to other pets. About Me: I work in film, half the year from home, half on set. Clean, respectful, communicative. I’m into keeping the space comfortable and collaborative. Looking For: Someone chill, clean, respectful, and communicative.
