I never see them mentioned here so I thought I’d share my (so far very positive) experience with LifeRx. I started at the beginning of Sept. You fill out normal paperwork and it’s a $50 fee to start—you schedule a telehealth appointment with a doctor, who will order routine bloodwork if you don’t have any in the past 12 months. After that, my doctor put in my rx (I chose sema because I had been on Wegovy briefly until I couldn’t source it—but he seemed ready to follow my wishes if I wanted tirz which they also prescribe.) Cost is $250 a shipment plus $30 shipping so $280 a shipment—in theory, it’s a 1 month supply, but so far, 2 shipments lasted me 4 months, so I’ve been paying $180 a month plus the $50 initial dr visit and $25 for a 90 day follow up telehealth visit. I like my doctor, he seems competent and I don’t just feel like I’m getting meds on the internet with no medical supervision.
My impression is that I could probably save a little bit with one of the other companies, but not enough that I’m motivated to switch. The service has been 10/10. They send the new shipment very quickly when I tell them I’m ready. This past week I realized I had not been paying attention and my vial was low, so around midnight Monday night/Tuesday morning I submitted the refill request. It was processed 15 mins later and the medicine was on my doorstep Thursday morning.
I’m in Virginia and my meds always come from Millers of Wyckoff in NJ, which is on the FDA list of compounding pharmacies (and their history of any complaints is available online—as it should be for any of these pharmacies.)
Their customer service is available 24/7, they’re responsive to both texts and phone calls. They primarily communicate with me by text, which is what I prefer.
Honestly, I can’t say it’s any better than the ones people on here seem to use more often, but my experience has been really good (so far) so I thought I should share anyway.
