I should start by stating the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad connects to the Hoboken division on the Main Line just before the Paterson stop. Midland Park and Wyckoff are close enough to Ridgewood for a park and ride. But with all the dense housing coming to this part of the state wouldn’t it make more sense to add this line to the system? The ROW would only need another single track. Seems like a small project with similar commute times from Suffern/Ramsey. NOT THAT NJT has the money to do it, but I wonder if it has been considered.
