Moving and Tips for an International Female

Hi everyone! I’m an international (student, late 20s) moving to Bushwick, close to Mrytle-Wyckoff Ave Station in August!

I’ve stayed in Bushwick for a week or so while on vacation a few years back, so I have a general idea of the place and love it there.

However, I’m far from being a “local” and don’t know anyone in the area; so I would really appreciate some safety tips (which areas I should avoid, which spots are sketchy and likely for crime, etc.) I’m the kind of person who would go out for gigs and films and have late nights, and would imagine have to make long commutes home alone.

Googling “Bushwick Safety” isn’t the best to alleviate the anxiety of my big move, so I super appreciate it!
