XXX SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11 XXX
Red Hook Open Studios Red Hook Open Studios is a free annual event that takes place in the richly historic and once-infamous Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn. During one weekend in October, the talented artists and makers in the area open their work spaces to the public, offering a rare, up-close look at how they create. Visitors also have the chance to purchase art directly from the creators themselves. This year marks our 10th anniversary and to celebrate we have organized a sculpture garden in Erie Basin Park behind Ikea, Brooklyn. Many of us participating in this yearâs Open Studios were directly affected by the devastating warehouse fire on Beard Street two weeks ago. The fire destroyed or damaged countless artworks, supplies, and studios. While the loss was immense, our artist community has been working tirelessly to rebuild, restore, and keep creating. This Open Studios event is more than just an exhibition for us — itâs a symbol of resilience, hope, and community spirit. Twelve artists will be featured with sculptures and performance art. Red Hook Open Studios is organized by artist volunteers to promote their creative community and to show off one of the cityâs great locations. A list of 2025 participants, links to their work and information about event maps can be found on our website at redhookopenstudios.com and through our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
Check website for multiple locations, Red Hook, Brooklyn 1-6p; $free Continues SUNDAY [email protected] @redhookopenstudios redhookopenstudios.com
