Join Me in Exploring the Art & Science of Technical Analysis: The Hudson Sessions

Hey there, I’m Adam Grimes. Some of you may know me from my books or my blog. I’ve been trading more or less full time (with a few interesting detours) since 1995, and I am dedicated to helping others navigate the complexities of the market.

I am excited to introduce you to The Hudson Sessions, a series of 12 live, interactive discussions, each dissecting a chapter from my first book, The Art & Science of Technical Analysis. We’ve already held three captivating sessions—you can find brief summaries and playback links for part 1, part 2, and part 3on my blog—and I would love for you to join me in the next one!

With The Hudson Sessions, we aim to:

Dive Deeply Into the Each Chapter: We are immersing ourselves in the topics presented in the book, using examples from as recently as last week as well as some going back to the beginning of the 20th century. This breadth offers us a deep understanding of how markets move and how traders behave.

Clear Up Your Queries: We are creating a space for your questions in these discussions, and we hope to address any confusions or misunderstandings that may persist. Even with careful editing, no book is perfect!

Challenge Your Thinking: Most traders rely on tools that do not have a quantifiable edge, and most people claiming to teach technical analysis are using frameworks that simply don’t give us anything beyond a coin flip. Let’s reevaluate your trading methods.

Go Beyond the Book: We are not just rehashing the content of the book! For example, in the third session, I presented updated stats for several commonly misused indicators.

Update You on My Evolving Perspectives: While my fundamental trading philosophy remains the same, there have been significant developments in how I interpret price action, and I am happy to share with you how I have refined my approach.

Best of all, The Hudson Sessions are absolutely free! While I do offer a paid service, these discussions are a completely non-commercial venture. This is my personal project to rigorously update my trading concepts and techniques, and I am sharing these 40+ hours of video content (comprising of thousands of slides and chart examples) as a gift to the trading community.

Wondering if this is for you?

The realistic answer is that you will get the most out of these sessions if you have some trading experience yourself. I believe new traders will benefit from the frameworks presented, but the depth of these discussions is often more appreciated by those who have struggled and tasted the bitterness of losses in trading.

I am really enjoying these sessions, and I put a lot of time and effort into preparing for each one. I hope you can join our future sessions! Check out the replays, and get regular updates by following me on Twitter, where I post all new blog posts and links to upcoming sessions.

Finally, shoutout to u/NathMcLovin for asking me to share some content with this subreddit!

Let’s embark on this journey together. Come and join me in the next session, to be held on Saturday, June 24 at 13:00 EDT.
