I’m a BE trader after 1 year of trading. AMA…jk, but seriously, this is the route I went when I first started.

On May 13, 2021 I was watching a Kevin O’Leary YT video and was suggested a video from the Dividend Data channel. I spent 5 days down that rabbit hole

On May 18 I was suggested a video from Trade Talk concerning Bitcoin and wyckoff, 2 things I wasn’t really familiar with. He is a S/R forex trader and I spent 5 days down that hole and joined his discord on May 23. Still follow him.

On May 28 I found Jason Graystone and went down that rabbit hole.

On May 30 I found Hannah Forex

On May 31 I started BabypipsU

On June 1st I opened my $100 Oanda account using the suggestions from Trade Talk

On June 2 I watched my first FTMO video and my first ICT video. Rabbit hole, obviously.

On June 4th I found the Mark Douglas series on YT

On June 8th I searched these two phrases in YT, “OHLC forex strategy”, and “Smart Money Concepts”, found and binged Vertex and paid for their course. Easily the best $150 I spent, right behind TV Pro.

June 9th found Mentfx. Big rabbit hole.

June 13 placed first trade

My journey included a stint in both the Mentfx and Phantom communities, but ended up preferring Vertex.

I spent 3 months learning the strategy and just beating the crap out of my Oanda account with .1 and .05% risk per trade. I used the same risk management rules as FTMO.

In 3 months I was down over 10%. I took the next 5 months off.

I started back in March of this year. It took me a few weeks to get my sea legs back, but I was up 10% for April, which was my signal to try an FTMO free trial.

Failed the first one because I broke every rule I had. Literally.

I passed the 2nd one in 10 days.

Failed my first paid challenge. Emotions got me, broke my rules.

Started my 2nd challenge, broke my rules, got down 4%, fixed myself and am almost back to BE.

No time limits on my funded challenges.
