Bushwick/Bed-Stuy/Crown Heights – Realistic Price Range?

I’m trying to decide whether to renew my current lease in Bed-Stuy near Herbert Von King Park.

I moved to New York in June 2022, when the market was very expensive, and am paying $2,800 a month for a rent stabilized 1BR near the Bedford-Nostrand G train. There is central air, shared laundry, and the apartment is pretty nice, but no doorman, dishwasher, etc.

I currently make $140K total income in a very stable job in Midtown.

I overall like the apartment and area but the upcoming G train shutdown, the extremely high utility bills I get + heat not being included in my rent (for internet, gas, and electric can be as high as an additional $300 a month), and desire for more stuff to do closer proximity to my place have me thinking about moving, either to Bushwick (near Central Av or Myrtle-Wyckoff) or Crown Heights (between Classon and Nostrand).

Is it reasonable to find a studio or 1BR with similar amenities in those neighborhoods for notably less per month (thinking $2,500 a month would be ideal)? If not, I may just stay where I am. Thanks!
