Best strategies for multi-timeframe trading

For those of you who use multi-timeframe analysis in your trading strategies:

  • What timeframe combinations do you usually work with (e.g., 1m–5m–1h, or 15m–1h–4h)?
  • How do you define your higher timeframe bias (the main trend) and align it with entries on lower timeframes?
  • What types of setups work best for you with this approach (breakouts, pullbacks, order blocks, Wyckoff, candlestick patterns, indicators, etc.)?
  • Do you use additional confirmations (ADX, MACD, volume, Fibonacci, Elliott waves, etc.) when you drop down to lower timeframes?
  • What are the most common mistakes you’ve seen when applying multi-timeframe analysis, and how do you avoid them?
  • If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting out with this methodology, what would it be?

Appreciate any input — your answers could help a lot of traders
