Hi there! I’m subletting the ensuite bedroom in my Bushwick 3/2. The current occupant has lived with me for 3 years but is getting a place with his GF. 6mo sublease w/ option to renew.

Living room

The room: Unfurnished. Fits a queen. Closet + 2 west-facing windows.

The house: Duplex, 1st floor. Living room & kitchen don’t get much action. Common areas are already furnished. No TV (we use a projector). Your roommates share the common-space bathroom.

The area: Residential. Walkable to Ridgewood. Bodegas & laundromats closeby:

Your roommates:

F – 40, reformed goth, office worker
M – 41, service industry w daytime hours, goes to hardcore shows
Dog – 7, 20lb rescue, funemployed, loves scritches and sleeping

Not a couple. Friendly introverts who keep to ourselves (except the dog, she is an extrovert). Not homebodies but we value alone time (ours & yours). Down to share a drink or horror movie sometimes. We don’t bring the party home or host regular out-of-towners.

You: 30’s – 40’s. Probably a service industry introvert who wants a calm, tidy space to come home to. A fellow creative-but-boring semi-weirdo. Established in NYC.

The fine print: Monthly bills are 1/3 of internet + utils (average $60/mo per person). Move-in is 1st month’s rent (pro-rated for half month) + deposit (1-month rent).

No: WFH, students, or couples; non-negotiable (nothing personal). At capacity on animals.
