Anyone street park their car outside of their neighborhood?

Moving to Ridgewood literally 2 blocks from the Bushwick border in a couple of weeks and I’ve been seeing all this nightmare stuff about parking in Ridgewood…wondering if anyone can share their experience with street parking in a different neighborhood and then taking the train home (I’ll be a 3min walk from Seneca M, 8min from Myrtle-Wyckoff, 9 from Dekalb). Is that a dumb plan? I only use my car once a week but I really do need it so selling isn’t an option. Even better if people have perspective on street parking in this specific area. Thanks!
