Advice on repatriating patient at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center

Hey all, my friend is visiting his sister who’s been inpatient at WHMC for about two weeks for psychiatric reasons. The dust has settled from the initial emergency which led to her going, tests were done to rule out various physical causes, and now from what I understand now she’s pretty much just being observed while getting medication and is more or less stable but not able to go home by herself. She is here on visa and was supposed to go home to Belgium at the end of this month anyway. My friend is having difficulty getting straight and timely answers from all the various staff who are part of her care which is unsurprising though everyone means well.

The family doctor in Belgium has communicated with the care team and ultimately wants her home ASAP to continue care there but from what I gather it’s a very slow back and forth now that she’s not an emergency case. Who should my friend be talking to and what questions does he need to ask? He’s there in person every day keeping her company and trying to move things along. I suggested hounding the social worker who was assigned for more info but they haven’t been responsive the whole time.
