I am having a hard time finding out what the requirements are for building an additional dwelling unit in Bergen County; namely Franklin Lakes, Ramsey, and Wyckoff. I am looking for homes for my family and would like to build a cottage/in law space for my parents. Ideally taking a cabana and expanding it, but I am unclear whether this is feasible or allowed in the area. Any contractors out there who can speak on their previous builds? Thanks in advance!
