Need some opinions on my application

I have also posted on IMGreddit but I don’t think there are enough applicants with EM slexperience that can help me. I’m an IMG looking to (eventually) match into EM residency. My biggest roadblock is that I was unable to facilitate a clerkship to get a SLOE to apply. My question is whether it’s even worth applying to any EM programs without that or if it’s a better idea to apply to IM or a transitional year, do really well, and try to transfer into an EM program from there.

The only things separating me in my application are I am a US citizen, USMLE scores of 257 each, and the fact that I had my clinical skills evaluated by attendings in a big hospital externship in Baltimore. Is it worth applying to the most IMG-friendly programs this way (Wyckoff in NYC apparently has an 80% IMG population in EM)? Or just go for IM and try to transfer later?
