Parking tips for Big Dumb Baby at Night Club 101 (New York 03/30)

figured i-d share some info for the big dumb baby, evil adeline, and kid lake show on 03/30. parking in this part of brooklyn is honestly a nightmare since it-s mostly residential and narrow streets, so you definitely want a plan before you head out.

first off you should check out Prked. you can use the app to find and rent driveways or private garage spots right next to Night Club 101. it-s way cheaper than any of the commercial lots you-ll find further out and it saves you from circling the block for forty minutes. plus you can just walk a block or two and be right at the door instead of fighting for a spot on the street.

if you decide to try your luck with street parking, look around starr st or troutman st first. wilson ave itself is usually packed and has a lot of bus stops and loading zones that will get you a ticket fast. since the show is on 03/30 which is a monday, make sure you double check the alternate side parking signs. most of the cleaning rules for that day will be over by the 7:00 pm start time, but it means everyone who lives there has already snagged the good spots when the restrictions ended earlier in the afternoon.

another decent strategy is to look closer to flushing ave or over by maria hernandez park. it is about a ten minute walk but sometimes the industrial areas near flushing have more turnover. just be careful because some of those spots turn into commercial-only zones overnight. i would honestly avoid knickerbocker ave entirely since it is a major shopping strip and the traffic is always a mess.

if you really can-t find anything on the street, the closest paid garage is over by wyckoff heights medical center on stanhope st. it is a bit of a hike to the venue though and they charge a premium. definitely don-t leave any bags or gear visible in your car since foot traffic is really high around there at night.

traffic-wise the bqe and bushwick ave are going to be backed up around 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm so give yourself way more time than the gps says. the intersection of wilson and flushing is always a bottleneck too. hope this helps and have a blast at the show.
