V train revival = cheap build, big wins

I’m sure this has been pitched before, but here’s my take: once Phase 3 of the T opens, there’s free capacity south of 72nd on 2nd Avenue. My V train would grab it — running from Forest Hills down Queens Blvd, onto 2nd Ave, and then straight to the Culver Line.

It’s cheap (just 63rd + Houston connections, plus reopening Bergen’s express platforms), it finally maxes out 2nd Ave’s capacity, gives QBL riders a one-seat ride to all Midtown trunks, and makes Culver express service permanent with ~8 minutes saved south of Church.
