Hi all,
My wife and I are considering buying a home in the following towns: Park Ridge, Montvale, Hillside, Westwood, Wyckoff, Allendale and Franklin Lakes. Are there other towns you’d recommend off rt 208, 17 or the parkway that have solid schools and proximity to the highway for commuting purposes?
As it relates to commuting, I work a block away from PABT and would ideally like to be close to a bus that went directly/express to the terminal. Trains are a less ideal fit.
Can anybody share their experiences commuting from these towns and what I should be considering? I.e. park and rides, town parking ordinances, coach bus availability, realistic commute times (not a Google Maps estimate).
We are mid 30s with a kid on the way and have a really nice commute at the moment from Cliffside Park, but alas it would be nice to have a backyard and some greenery at this point.
