Shot in the face by a paintball gun while crossing Flushing early Sunday morning, please watch out.

Around 2:00 AM Sunday morning a couple of days ago, I was crossing the street right off of Flushing and Wyckoff, when all of the sudden I heard shots fire. I looked to the right and there was a man sitting in the backseat of a moving car with the window rolled down, staring me in the eyes with a paintball gun aimed at my head. I saw my life flash before my eyes and was shot directly in the face on my left cheek.

This was a completely random attack, I was walking alone but surrounded by other groups of people leaving clubs and food trucks. He only aimed at me and then drove off as I was screaming and running for the sidewalk. I filed a police report and there is a detective trying to obtain security cam footage as we speak.

Please be extra careful around the house of yes and elsewhere areas by the Jefferson L stop. I have a strong suspicion that if this person does not get caught, this type of thing will continue happening and I do not want anyone to go through what I had to experience. Although I am traumatized for life, I am okay physically and did not need to be hospitalized thankfully. I just have a very ugly, swollen and sore welt on my face. I feel so lucky the bullet missed my eye, otherwise I don’t know how functional I would be right now.
