old man followed me after i got off the subway at forest ave

hi everyone! i just wanted to give everyone a heads up that i was followed tonight when i got off the subway this evening on forest ave. it was an old man with olive toned skin and short, white hair and a large nose.

i got on my transfer at myrtle-wyckoff, and that’s when i first saw him. i noticed every time i looked in his direction, he was always making eye contact with me, and i got a little weirded out. when the M came, he sat across from me, and when i got to forest ave, he waited until i got up to leave before he got up and left himself. i walked to to the crosswalk in front of garlic to the chicken, and waited with a few people to cross. it wasn’t long before he also crossed as well. at this point, i thought it was a little strange, but i figured that maybe we just lived in the same direction, but to really make sure, i crossed the street again, and he did the same thing after a few seconds.

i started to panic at this point, and i was walking up 60th with this man tailing. i decide to duck around the corner on woodbine and 60th, and pulled to the side and started texting my partner. literally seconds later, the guy did the SAME thing and seemed a little startled that i pulled to the side. he walked a little past me, and then STOPPED a few feet away from me as i continued to text my partner. i decided to backtrack because i knew at this point something was up, and when i started going back the way i came from the subway, the man started FOLLOWING me again. i knew i was being followed, because it made ZERO sense for him to go back the way we both came from. thankfully i was able to duck into the bodega on 60th and madison and wait inside for my partner to come and grab me. when we left, he wasn’t anywhere to be found.

this was a scary experience, and i just wanted to let everyone know so they can keep their eyes peeled. i’m a male in my late 20s, so this was definitely a weird thing to deal with, but still, nonetheless, a little terrifying. stay safe!
